TradCafe is taking a new approach to creating recorded music in a digital streaming world. As a crowdfunded independent record label, fans of the music have a direct connection to the music being created, cutting out the big business executives and corporate marketing campaigns.

The Concept:

• Music fans sign up to support TradCafe on Patreon, which determines TradCafe’s monthly budget.

• That monthly budget is used in three ways:

  • Funding the creation of new music: singles, music videos, ongoing work on albums

  • Covering operating/upkeep costs of the podcast and label

  • Saving towards funding larger projects

• Supporters on Patreon will get downloads of TradCafe tracks and albums and early access to music videos before they are released to the public.

For the moment TradCafe is specifically presenting Neil Pearlman’s creative work as both a solo artist and in collaborations but there is the opportunity for the label to expand to more artists if the number of supporters grows.
